Horses have been at the centre of Cally's life from an early age, leading to a career spent working alongside a variety of respected trainers, riders and professional equestrian businesses throughout the UK.
Over the years, Cally has developed experience across schooling, horse production, sales preparation, young horse development and rehabilitation, working with horses and ponies of varying ages, abilities and disciplines.
Her practical, hands-on approach has earned her a strong reputation for producing well-mannered, confident horses while maintaining a focus on their individual needs and long-term welfare.
A former jockey, Cally's career took an unexpected turn following a serious back injury. Following a successful recovery, she returned to the industry with a renewed appreciation for the importance of careful rehabilitation, correct conditioning and tailored training programmes.

Today, Cally combines years of industry experience with a personal and dedicated approach to horse management.
'I have worked within the equestrian industry my entire life and have gained experience across racing, showing, stud work, sales livery, rehabilitation and the handling and production of young horses. I began my career in racing as a work rider and later progressed to the role of Head travelling girl, which involved responsibility for the care, preparation and transportation of racehorses.
Alongside my racing experience, I have developed a particular interest in breeding and producing young horses and ponies through my own Fell pony breeding programme.
CJ Performance & Rehabilitation was created to bring together this varied experience and offer owners a professional, approachable and highly individual service.
My racing background has played an important part in developing my ability to ride and handle a wide variety of horses, including fit, young and sensitive horses. Working as both a work rider and Head Travelling Girl gave me valuable experience in horse care, fitness, preparation, travelling and recognising the individual needs of each horse.
My approach has primarily developed through years of practical, hands-on experience across different areas of the equestrian industry. Working with a wide variety of horses has taught me to adapt to the individual, remain patient and allow each horse the time and support it needs to develop.
Owners choose to work with me because of my varied practical experience and my friendly, honest and approachable manner. I understand that owners want to feel confident about the person caring for their horse, so clear communication and regular updates are an important part of the service I provide'
